Two City Men Charged After Fracas at Washington St. Convenience Store

Two Haverhill men face assault and disorderly conduct charges, among others, stemming from a disturbance early Sunday at a Washington Street convenience store.

Alexander Pagan, 28, of 160 Grove St., Haverhill and Alvin Taylor, 23, of 49 Oak Terrace, Haverhill, were arrested at about 1:15 a.m., Sunday, at Nathan’s Sandwich and Variety Shop, 135 Washington St. Each was charged with disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. Pagan was charged with destruction of property. Taylor was charged with a municipal ordinance violation.

Both are scheduled to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court.

In other police news:

John O’Connor, 18, of Tewksbury, was arrested at 7:08 a.m., Sunday, at 10 Primrose Way and charged with destruction of property.

Alec Steed, 18, of 14 Dawn Circle, Haverhill, was arrested at 5:21 a.m., Saturday, at 519 South Main St. and charged with driving under the influence of liquor.
