Two NH Men Face Haverhill Fentanyl Trafficking Charges

Two Portsmouth, N.H., men face fentanyl trafficking charges in Haverhill District Court following their arrests Wednesday morning by Haverhill police.

Michael Anderson, 21, and Russell Anderson, 47, both of Portsmouth, N.H., were arrested at about 10:15 a.m., Wednesday, on Interstate 495 northbound. Each was charged with fentanyl trafficking and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Michael Anderson also had an outstanding warrant related to possession of a class A drug and failure to identify by a vehicle operator.

In other police news:

Janet Hickey, 57, of 59 Columbia Park, Haverhill, was arrested at 6:37 p.m., Wednesday, on Winter Street and charged with driving under the influence of liquor and negligent operation.

Gail Valenzi, 53, of 45 Locust St., Haverhill, was arrested at 8:32 p.m., Wednesday, at home, and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Christopher Adair, 39, 6 Rose St., Haverhill, was arrested on a warrant related to assault and battery on a family or household member and an abuse prevention order violation, 6 Rose St., 3:29 p.m.
