Leo J. Donovan, 61, of Haverhill, passed away Monday, Nov. 14, at his home.
He was born in Haverhill Dec. 4, 1954, son of the late, Leo N. and Harriet (Gagnon) Donovan. He was educated in the Haverhill school system and graduated from Haverhill Trade School with the class of 1972. Donovan was handy and enjoyed working on cars and computers as well as operating his ham radio, going fishing and having a good laugh with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary J. (Tidd) Donovan of Haverhill; daughter Mary Melendez and her husband Angel of Haverhill; brother, Joseph Donovan of Haverhill; sister Patti Scott of Merrimac; two grandchildren, James and Israel Melendez of Haverhill; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Friday, Nov. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m., at H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. His funeral service and burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of his family.
