Cameron Sean Alder, 18, Recent Grad Fought Cancer 8 Months

Cameron Sean Alder, 18, of Haverhill, passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, surrounded by his family. Diagnosed with cancer in March, just two weeks after his birthday, he faced his illness head-on and fought for eight months “with the strength and bravery of 100 men,” according to his family

Alder was the son of Ian S. Alder of Haverhill and Nicole M. Frascone and her fiancé` Grant Lavallee, also of Haverhill. He attended Tilton, Consentino and Whittier middle schools. He was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 2016. During his freshman and sophomore years of high school he was a proud member of the ROTC. With a love for music, he played the guitar and his favorite band was Korn. He enjoyed playing video games, watching movies, and his favorite television show, American Pickers. he was known for his dry sense of humor and his quick wit.

In addition to his parents he is survived by a brother, Calden N. Alder of Haverhill; two sisters, Kailyn R. Alder and Makayla R. Alder, both of Haverhill; aunts and uncles, Renee Ingram of Hampton, N.H.; Melissa Little of Haverhill; Justin Alder of Haverhill; William Frascone and his wife Candice of New Hampshire; Anthony Frascone of New Hampshire; his paternal grandparents, Kevin and Paulette Alder; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, William and Theresa (McLaughlin) Frascone.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Thursday, Nov. 17 from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill.
