Melissa J. Cerasuolo of Haverhill, recently joined Haverhill Bank as business development officer.

Cerasuolo, who will be based out of the bank’s West Newbury and Merrimac branches, is responsible for helping business customers with their banking needs. Besides servicing existing bank customers, Cerasuolo’s focus is expanding the bank’s lending and deposit base in Greater Newburyport.

She works closely with business customers to ensure they have the best products for their financial needs and helps them grow their businesses, a statement reads.

Cerasuolo most recently worked as executive director of the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce. Previously, she was employed as office manager/interior designer for Mass Innovation and executive assistant for the Executive Office of Public Safety, part of the governor’s cabinet.

As a volunteer at numerous organizations throughout Greater Haverhill, she is a member of the Rotary Club of Haverhill serving as a Paul Harris Fellow, and serves as a volunteer for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Haverhill, HHS Alumni Basketball Committee, Emmaus House and Career Resources Corporation. She is also a basketball coach for the YMCA Fifth Grade Girls Travel Team. In addition to her volunteer work, she is active in the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce.
