No. 2-ranked Brookline was too much for the Haverhill High School girls varsity soccer team, which lost a quarter-final Division 1 North tournament game Tuesday afternoon at Brookline.
The Hillie girls, ranked seventh among the 15-team field, end their season with a regular-season record of 12 wins, six losses and a tie. They won one game in post-season play, a first-round playoff match, in a 10-0 rout of Brighton.
Good things are happening in Haverhill Schools and this is another fine example.
