Election-Themed Scavenger Hunt Benefits Buttonwoods

Buttonwoods Museum’s Annual Haverhill History Mystery will be revealed during a “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of the Presidency Scavenger Hunt” next week.

The election-themed event asks teams—“running mates,” as they’re called—of four to eight people to use clues as they’re given and find their ways around the town.

Cars line up for the event Saturday, Nov. 5, 5 p.m., at the lower level of the Herbert H. Goecke Memorial Parking Deck, Merrimack Street. Scavenger hunting begins at 6. The final clue brings participants to a party with a cash bar and buffet.

Each participant pays a “poll tax” of $40. Checks made out to Buttonwoods Museum may be brought to any EZ-Way Cleaners location or may be mailed to Peter Carbone, 48 Colby St., Bradford, MA 01835. Include a note with the names of team members included in the payment and the team’s name/captain, cell telephone number and email addresses.
