Add some fun to your fall gatherings with creative uses for pumpkins.

Turn a large pumpkin into a drink dispenser with a watermelon keg tap. Just cut a lid from the top of the pumpkin, scoop out the insides, insert the tap and fill with your favorite beverage.

Or create a vase for your favorite fall flowers. Cut a hole in the top and scoop out the pulp and seeds. Use a medium or large pumpkin as a centerpiece or small ones to brighten the guest bathroom or smaller end tables.  Place a glass or vase in the center and fill with water and fresh cut asters, mums, goldenrod and other flowers. Just scoop out the center and set the candle inside.

Or fill with your favorite fall soup.  Guests will enjoy the unique bowl and cleanup is easy. Just rinse and toss in the compost pile.

A bit more information: Use miniature pumpkins as place cards for guests. Write the guest’s name directly on the pumpkin or attach the nameplate with a glue dot.
