A video surveillance system captured the image of a man, police say, robbed a Groveland Street convenience store at gunpoint.
Haverhill police are investigating whether at least two armed robberies at local gas and convenience stores within a week, as well as a weekend doughnut shop robbery, are related.
The latest was reported to police Sunday, at 8:41 p.m, at Bradford Mobil, 807 S. Main St. Police Lt. Robert P. Pistone told WHAV investigators are looking into a possible connection to the Sunday, Oct. 9 robbery at the Speedway gas and convenience store at 491 Groveland St.
Pistone said that after the Mobil robbery, a clerk told police he was preparing to close when a white male of medium build, wearing a mask and dark clothes, ordered him to open the register.
“The suspect brandished a knife and ordered the clerk to get on the ground. The suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash,” Pistone said.
A photo from store surveillance was not immediately available.
A similar robbery occurred Saturday, shortly after 7 p.m., at Dunkin Donuts, 614 Broadway (Route 97).
