Haverhill city councilors are scheduled tonight to discuss a parking review for the City Hall neighborhood as preparations to temporarily house Haverhill District Court civil business at city hall, during a courthouse renovation project, go forward.
A parking study recently conducted by independent consultant John M. Burke identifies, in addition to 137 city hall parking spaces and another seven spaces at an adjacent school department property, a potential 449 off-street and 81 on-street parking spaces for court business within two blocks from city hall. Among the recommendations, place a one hour parking limit at the city hall lot with sticker parking for employees.
