Hurricane Matthew has devastated communities in Haiti, leaving areas without food, water or shelter and increasing deadly cholera rates.
Kalim Desir of the Haitian Community Center of Haverhill made an appeal at Tuesday’s night’s Haverhill City Council meeting for money donations. He explained gifts of physical goods cannot be accepted because there is no way to deliver them.
