Nicola De Santis, consul general of Italy in Boston, will be on hand in Haverhill Mayor James J. Fiorentini’s office Friday to help celebrate Columbus Day.

De Santis will address a gathering in the mayor’s office, from 9 to 10 a.m., before attending a ceremony raising the Italian flag outside City Hall.

Fiorentini said the public is invited to meet De Santis, hear Italian music performed by the Haverhill High School chorus and local musician Letriah Masters and enjoy light refreshments.

De Santis began his mandate as consul general in Boston during 2014. His jurisdiction is comprised of Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.

  1. What’s going on here? With all the progressive liberals holding office in Haverhill how are they allowing this to happen?! Columbus Day is supposed to be replaced with “Indigenous People’s Day” according to the liberal agenda.
Acorn Andy…you can’t be happy with this, are you?

The Haverhill Hispanic Coilition will be crying racism any minute now.
