Richard K. Jewell Jr., 23, Worked at Haffner’s Car Wash

richard_jewellRichard K. Jewell Jr., 23, of Groveland, died Saturday, Oct. 1, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston.

Born in Winchester, May 30, 1993, he was the son of Richard K. and Janice C. (Byrne) Jewell of Groveland. He attended Pentucket Regional High School, West Newbury. Jewell enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and especially his dog, Kilo. He was fascinated with astronomy and history and had a passion to learn as much as he could about these subjects. He also enjoyed driving his truck with his dog by his side and listening to music. He loved installing challenging audio equipments and was sought after for his skills. In his downtime, he enjoyed walking his dog at Winnekenni Castle in Haverhill. He was recently employed at Haffner’s Car Wash.

In addition to his parents, he leaves behind his sister, Ashley C. Jewell of Groveland; paternal grandparents, Richard C. and Mary S. Jewell of Tewksbury and maternal grandmother, Margaret P. Byrne of Groveland. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends. His legacy will live on as he was proud to be an organ donor.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, Oct. 6, at Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 52 Salem St., Bradford, from 4 to 6 p.m., with a service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Chucky’s Fight, 380 Lafayette Rd., Unit 11-193, Seabrook, NH 03874 or online at www.chuckysfight.com.
