Karen M. (Cloyd) Gleed, 49, Worked at Wickson Mobil Stations

karen_gleedKaren M. (Cloyd) Gleed, 49, of Sandown, N.H., formerly of Haverhill, wife of Scott J. Gleed, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, Oct. 2.

Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of Frank M. Jr. and Janet E. (Bradley) Cloyd. She attended Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School and majored in fashion design, class of 1984. She was employed for 25 years at the George Wickson Mobile stations, first at the Rosemont station, then the Tewksbury station and then the route 110 and Main Street station. She loved to travel, especially road trips to Foxwoods and the mountains, enjoying many foliage trips. She loved to play darts, bowling and snowmobiling. Mostly, she enjoyed being with her family.

In addition to her husband Scott and her parents, Gleed is survived by her children, Adam M. Rizzotti of Haverhill, and Cody J. Cloyd of Sandown, N.H.; stepson, Ryan Gleed; siblings, Michael A. Rand and his wife Pamela of Bow, N.H., Ronald R. Rand of Arlington, Frank M. Cloyd III and his wife Michele of Haverhill, Dawna M. West of Epping, N.H., and Russell A. Cloyd and his wife Beth of Londonderry, N.H.; grandchildren, Camden J. Endicott and Bentley Gleed; godchild, Jayden Cloyd; aunt, Evelyn M. Tuttle and her husband David of Groveland; mother-in-law, Joan M. (Greaney) Gleed and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours  Thursday, Oct. 6 from 4 to 7 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Walnut Cemetery, Kenoza Street, Haverhill. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
