Barbara A. (Kotuli) Gaudette, 72, Worked at Western Electric

barbara_gaudetteBarbara A. (Kotuli) Gaudette, 72, a native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, died Sept. 28, at her home from natural causes.

Raised and educated in Haverhill, daughter of the late John and Mary (Schlenker) Kotuli, she graduated from Haverhill High School with the class of 1962 and attended Northern Essex Community College. Employed for 33 years at Western Electric, AT& T Technologies and Lucent Technologies, she retired in 2002 as a materials management analyst. She was a former member of Saint James and Saint Rita Parishes in Haverhill, and the Telephone Pioneers of America. Gaudette enjoyed bowling in her younger years in company leagues and playing cards, especially 45s and poker. She was devoted to her dog Bandit and until most recently enjoyed golfing at Evergreen Valley in Newburyport, Apple Hill in East Kingston, N.H., and The Fairways in Kingston.

The wife of the late Paul T. Gaudette, she leaves her son, Paul T. “Tom” Gaudette Jr., of Haverhill, her “second son” John “Jay” Rumore, of Haverhill; grand-daughter Calee T. Gaudette of Sandown, N.H.; two brothers, Wylie O’Brien and his wife Marie of Haverhill, and John Kotuli of Unity, N.H.; four sisters, Patricia Schmitt of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Natalie McBride of Plaistow, N.H., Carol Stanley and her husband William of Atkinson, N.H., and Sandra White and her husband Michael of Cheshire, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Shirley MacLamore.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a life celebration Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 3 to 6 p.m., at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral service follows at 6:15 in the funeral home. The family requests that memorial donations may be made to the MSPCA, Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen.
