Urologic Surgeon Babeir Joins Holy Family Haverhill Staff

Urologic Surgeon Abdulrahman Babeir has joined the medical staff at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley, Haverhill.

Babeir, a Steward Medical Group physician based out of Carney Hospital, Boston, is seeing new patients in Haverhill on Tuesdays at Merrimack Valley Medical Specialties, Merrimack Medical Center, 62 Brown St., suite 303. Babeir provides routine urologic procedures and surgeries in Haverhill, and care for his patients who need complex robotic urologic surgery at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Boston.

“I am pleased to have the opportunity to help patients in greater Haverhill, where there is a need for a urology specialist,” Babeir said. “I am fortunate to be able to provide a full spectrum care to my patients, from routine exams and office procedures, to complex robotic surgery, which I will do at St. Elizabeth’s.”

Babeir’s fellowship training in urology and urologic surgery was completed at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Boston. He earned his medical degree at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and completed his residency in urology and urologic surgery at King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh.

“Our sister hospital, St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, has long been regarded a top hospital for urologic surgery, particularly for uro-oncology, which is one of Dr. Babeir’s specialties. Dr. Babeir’s advanced training in urology and urologic surgery at St. Elizabeth’s makes him a valuable addition to our medical staff.  I am proud to welcome Dr. Babeir to Holy Family Hospital,” hospital President Craig Jesiolowski said.
