Arthur R. Drummond Jr., 88, Korean war Veteran

Arthur R. Drummond Jr., 88, a longtime resident of North Andover, passed away Saturday morning, Sept. 24, at Lakeview House Nursing Home, Haverhill.

Drummond was born in Methuen, May 29, 1928, son of the late Arthur and Ruth (Remick) Drummond. He was educated in the North Andover school system and graduated from North Andover High School, prior to enlisting in the Air Force during the Korean War. After serving in the Air force, he worked for the town of North Andover until retirement. When he retired, his boss said “we are going to need two people to replace him.” Drummond was predeceased by several brothers and sisters, George Drummond, Phyllis Drummond, Corinne Drummond, William Drummond, and Marilyn Chase. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Enloe of Franklin, N.C.; nieces and nephews, Jay and his wife Melaine Enloe, Bill and his wife Ann Enloe, Jim and his wife Kerry Enloe, Greg and his wife Patti Enloe, Art Chase and his wife Theresa of Plaistow, N.H. and Jane her husband Mark Alper of Haverhill.

At his request, funeral services will be private and at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Haverhill and Bradford.
