Nancy A. (Chastney) Crowley, 67, Former Methuen School Nurse

Nancy A. (Chastney) Crowley, 67, of Haverhill, died Monday morning, Sept. 12, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born in Haverhill, March 19, 1949, daughter of the late Benedict J. and Natalie A. (Stanchis) Chastney. Educated in the Haverhill school system, Crowley graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1967. She earned her registered nursing degree from Northern Essex Community College. For more than 20 years she was employed as a nurse for the Methuen school system, spending 16 years at the Marsh School. She enjoyed gardening, skiing, playing golf and tennis, dancing and volunteered for various figure skating clubs.

Her survivors include her husband of 47 years, Paul A. Crowley of Haverhill; three daughters, Stacy Lane and her husband Michael of Haverhill, Amy Crowley of Hudson, and Katie Jalbert and her husband Danny of Haverhill; three brothers, David Chastney and his wife Susan of Mars, Penn., Paul Chastney and significant other Jean Patterson of Haverhill, and Richard Chastney and his wife Chin-Sim of New Boston, N.H.; eight grandchildren, Natalie, Madeline, Patrick, Ella, Adriana, Ethan, Leah and Ally; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours Thursday, Sept. 15, from 5 to 8 p.m. at H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Her funeral mass will be Friday morning, Sept. 16, beginning at 9, at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial in All Saints Church, Haverhill. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill. Contributions in her memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
