A Shirley man was arrested by Haverhill police Wednesday night on unlicensed driving and other charges.

David Laing, 43, of Shirley, was arrested at 10:42 p.m., at 66 Cedar St., Haverhill. He was charged with driving with a revoked license, failure to stop for police and resisting arrest. He also had outstanding warrants related to larceny by check over $25, destruction of property and attempt to commit a crime.

He is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court.

In other police news:

Amanda Gibson, 27, of 134 High St., Haverhill, was arrested at 11:49 p.m., at 5 Gile St., on a warrant related to three counts of larceny under $250 and uttering a false check.

Christopher Romanik, 39, of 94 Portland St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 6:19 p.m., at 1445 Hilldale Ave., on warrants related to larceny of a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license and disorderly conduct.

Stephen Hines, 49, of Kingston, N.H., was arrested Wednesday at 12:19 p.m., at 81 Winter St., on a warrant related to larceny over $250.
