Mark Talas, 26, Worked as Laborer

mark_talasMark Talas, 26, passed away unexpectedly Aug. 28, in Salisbury.

Born in Hinesville, Ga, he is the son of Matthew J. and Ilona (Geist) Talas. He attended Triton Regional High School, Byfield. Talas was employed as a laborer for various contractors in the Merrimack Valley area. He loved to spend all his time with his son Aydin.

In addition to his parents and son, he is survived by a sister, Nicole I. Talas of Salisbury; two brothers, Kevin Geist and his wife Zaneta of Hermeskeil, Germany, and Curtis M. Talas of Salisbury; nieces and nephews, Samantha Geist, Matthew Geist, Katelyn Geist and Eli Geist, all of Hermeskeil, Germany; grandparents, Peter and Patricia Talas of Haverhill; Ann (Turner) Beals of Sanford, Maine; and several aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Waldemar and Gisela Geist of Bad Schwalbach, Germany.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Thursday, Sept. 1, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will be private.
