To celebrate 20 years of service, Methuen Community Television is sponsoring a volunteer and outreach showcase.
Representatives from more than a dozen local non-profit organizations will discuss what services and programs they offer and how the public can participate. Volunteers may help nurture a child, comfort a senior citizen, care for an animal in need, help with computer needs or building maintenance or serve on a board of directors.
The volunteer and outreach showcase takes place Saturday, Oct. 8, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., at Nevins Memorial Library, 305 Broadway, Methuen. Attendees will also have a chance to witness recording of “Community TV Stories” at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., and see a television production from the audience’s perspective. Children’s crafts and story times will also be offered and the Methuen Memorial Music Hall will be conducting hourly tours in conjunction with the showcase.
