Woman Faces Charge of Theft From a Person Over 65

Two Haverhill residents are due to appear in Haverhill District Court after being arrested by Haverhill police Thursday during an investigation which resulted in theft charges.

Abby Chatterton, 35 and Keith Bourassa, 32, both of 58 Sterling Lane, Bradford section, were taken into custody Thursday, between 5:06 and 5:25 p.m., on Gile Street. Chatterton was charged with two counts of larceny from a person over 65 and one count of larceny from a person. She also had an unspecified outstanding warrant. Bourassa was being held on a separate, unspecified outstanding warrant.

In other police news:

Carlos Cruz-Aracena, 48, of Salem, N.H., was arrested at 7:27 p.m., Thursday on Interstate 495 southbound on charges of assault and battery and disorderly conduct.

Joshua Fernandez, 20, of 21 Cedar St., Haverhill, was arrested at 10:59 a.m., Thursday, at 23 Cedar St., and charged with two counts of malicious damage to a motor vehicle.
