Two Haverhill Men Face Rape-Related Charges

Two Haverhill men arrested by Haverhill police Friday night on rape charges are due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court.

Manuel Agualema-Guasco, 41 and Juan Cela, 19, both of 50 White St., Haverhill, were arrested Friday at 11:25 p.m., at 117 Lincoln Ave. Each was charged with one count of aggravated rape. Details were unavailable before deadline.

In other police news:

Paul Gaudette, 46, of 66 Elm St., Haverhill, was arrested Sunday at 12:35 a.m., at 1 Water St. He was charged with driving under the influence of liquor (third offense) and leaving the scene of property damage.

Julie Ryan, 47, of 319 Gile St., Haverhill, was arrested Saturday at 9:13 p.m., at 753 Main St. She was charged with driving under the influence of liquor and leaving the scene of property damage.

Derek Cummings, 28, of Georgetown, was arrested Saturday at 2:54 a.m., at 42 Jackson St. He was charged with assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a police officer, destruction of property, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct ant threat to commit a crime.

Oscar Salazar, 30, of Lawrence, was arrested Sunday at 6:58 a.m. on Broadway. He was charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, license restriction violation, two counts of assault and battery and possession of a class B drug.

Julio Santos, 31, of Andover, was arrested at 8:05 p.m. at 100 Washington St. He was charged with larceny from a person.
