John M. Hyland, 66, Spent Career at Munters; Vietnam Veteran

john_hylandJohn M. Hyland, 66, of Haverhill, passed away surrounded by his loved ones Saturday, Aug. 6, at Lahey Medical Center, Burlington.

Hyland was born May 10, 1950, son of the late Matthew and Ruth (Taylor) Hyland. He was lifelong resident of Haverhill and a graduate of Haverhill Trade School and Haverhill High School class of 1969. He worked his entire career at Munters Corporation, Amesbury, working as a sheet metal fabricator and CAD system operator. He is a Veteran of the United States Army having served during Vietnam. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, as well as jet ski mechanic, and loved trips to California and cherished his summers on Captain’s Pond, Salem, N.H.

Hyland is survived by his long-time partner, Dawn Jordan, and her daughter, Laura Morley, as well as dear friends, Michael and Maureen Cartier, and their children, Molly and Mackenzie.

Funeral services take place Saturday, Aug. 20, at Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 South Main St., Haverhill, 10 a.m. Interment with U.S. Army Honors follows in Hillside Cemetery, Broadway. Visiting hours are Friday, Aug. 19, in the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Emmaus House, 150 How Street, Haverhill, MA 01830.
