Haverhill City Councilors Mary Ellen Daly O’Brien and Thomas J. Sullivan will be among those honored by the Haverhill Democratic City Committee at its annual breakfast later this month.
Daly O’Brien and Sullivan will be named this year’s “distinguished elected officials,” while former City Councilor Kenneth E. Quimby Jr., Denise Johnson and Jane Thiefels will be named “Distinguished Democrats” for 2016. Congresswoman Niki Tsongas is the featured speaker and candidates for Essex County sheriff and state elected officials are expected to pitch the crowd.
Haverhill Democratic City Committee members will also participate in a straw poll, said Roz McKeon, breakfast chair.
The breakfast takes place Saturday, Aug. 27, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., at Maria’s Restaurant Galleria Banquet Room, 85 Essex St. Tickets are $25 each and may be obtained by calling McKeon at 978-373-4032 or emailing [email protected].

Yet she has no problem with taking political campaign contributions from the who’s-who of the corporate world who in her words don’t pay their “fair share” by seeking tax havens, off-shoring, outsourcing, or replacing American Workers with H-1B’s. But hey, at least unions still support her, hopefully union members will still have jobs after Niki Tsongas mentor, Hillary Clinton, is elected President and passes The TPP and sends whatever is left of American jobs outside our borders.
Just another anti-liberty multimillionaire that wants more power and to enrich her cronies at The People’s expense while legislating away freedom from you and at the same time having The People live under a rule of law that she exempts herself from.
