Haverhill Police Arrest Two in Separate Alleged Drug Dealing Cases

Two Haverhill residents were arrested Wednesday in separate drug-related investigations by Haverhill police.

Enery Fernandez, 35, of 16 Mechanic St., Haverhill, was arrested Wednesday at 4:34 p.m. on Mechanic Street. She was charged with fentanyl trafficking, distribution of a class A drug, drug possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Later, at 7:48 p.m., Jonathan Sargent, 36, of 62 Washington St., Haverhill, was arrested at 196 Golden Hill Ave. He was charged with drug possession with intent to distribute, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, reckless driving and failure to stop for police. Sargent also had an outstanding warrant related to distribution of a class A drug.

Each is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court.

In other police news, two area motorists face charges which led to separate arrests in Haverhill Wednesday.

William Walsh, 53, of Danville, N.H., was arrested at 3:37 p.m. at 100 Water St. He was charged with negligent driving and failure to stop for police.

Miguel Santana, 33, of 67 Moore St., Haverhill, was arrested at 9:25 p.m. on Highland Avenue. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to stop or yield. He also had an outstanding warrant related to a separate charge of driving with a suspended license.
