Vine Street Man Faces Shoplifting Charge

A Haverhill man, already sought by police on warrants related to burglary and theft charges, was arrested on shoplifting charges Tuesday evening.

Victor Alicea, 46, of 25 Vine St., Haverhill, was arrested by Haverhill police Tuesday at 6:57 p.m., at 310 Main St. He was charged with two counts of shoplifting and one count of providing false information. Alicea also had outstanding warrants related to two counts of larceny over $250, one count larceny under $250, larceny from a building and two counts of misdemeanor breaking and entering.

In other police news, a Haverhill man is due to appear in Haverhill District Court after his arrest on a warrant related to a charge of refusing to provide a DNA database sample.

Charles Hamel, 46, of 127 How St., Haverhill, was taken into custody Tuesday at 7:11 p.m. at his residence.

Ronald Brown, 38, 19 Lansing Ave., Haverhill, was arrested on a warrant related to destruction of property, 93 Lafayette Square, 2:11 a.m.
