A fallen tree left 367 National Grid electric customers in the Broadway-North Broadway area of Haverhill in the dark Tuesday night.

A line fuse blew after a tree fell on Broadway, Haverhill, at approximately 8:15 p.m., according to National Grid Media Relations Specialist Amie O’Hearn. She told WHAV 367 customers were affected and power was restored to the majority of those by midnight.

Meanwhile, reports from WHAV listeners indicated a fire occurred on North Broadway during the outage. However, neither Fire Chief William F. Lalibety nor a deputy chief were available this morning for further comment.
