Barbara L. (Hanson) Kennedy, 87, of Haverhill and formerly of North Andover, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by those she loved. Kennedy was the wife of the late John J. Kennedy.
Born in North Andover Dec. 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Arthur R. and Gladys (Dobson) Hanson. She was a graduate of North Andover’s Johnson High School, class of 1946. She worked for years as an assembler in the Crystal Room at the former Western Electric before retiring in 1984. She was a member of St. Michael’s Church in North Andover, was an avid bowler and enjoyed her trips to Foxwoods with her daughters.
Kennedy is survived by her children, Jacqueline Miller of Haverhill, Charlene Fleming and her husband William of Fremont, N.H., and John J. Kennedy Jr. and his wife Linda of Londonderry, N.H.; six grandchildren; 12great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews
Funeral arrangements, conducted through Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main St., Haverhill will be private.
