Align Credit Union Collects School Supply Donations Through Aug. 31

Align Credit Union, which has a Haverhill branch, is having its annual school supply drive through Aug. 31.

The goal is to help students in need with a successful start at school by providing basic supplies. Credit union members and non-Members are asked to stop by Align branches at 19 Haverhill Road, Amesbury; 87 Hale St., Lowell, or 900 Chelmsford St. (Cross Point), Lowell, with donations.

“Going back to school can be expensive and some families struggle to find the money to buy supplies,” said Align President Kenneth M. Del Rossi. “This drive makes sure they have the tools they need to get a good education.”

School supplies requested include backpacks, binder dividers, binders, calculators, colored pencils, crayons, erasers, folders, glue sticks, graph paper, highlighters, index cards, loose leaf paper, markers, notebooks, pencils, pencil cases, pencil sharpeners, pens, pocket folders, protractors, rulers, scissors, staplers, sticky notes, thumb drives and washable markers.

At the end of the drive, donations will be delivered to The Pettengill House, Salisbury, and Catie’s Closet, Lowell. These charitable organizations will then distribute the items to local students who need assistance.
