The fifth annual Steve Lyons Memorial “Rock Out! Cookout” fundraiser, by Haverhill-based nonprofit Steve Lyons Fund, takes place Saturday, Aug. 20 at Winnekenni Castle, 347 Kenoza Ave.

The event, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., is “a full day of live music, an art show, activities for the kids and serves delicious food,” according to the organization. Each year it “donates proceeds from the event to deserving groups that support youth and the arts.” This year’s event will benefit Girls Inc. of Haverhill.

“Raffles will include amazing gift baskets, a new grill, everything a new guitar player would need to get started and more,” according to the group. Also, event T-shirts, musician’s merchandise and art will be on sale.

Presale tickets are $15 per person or $50 for a “family bundle.” Children 10 and under are admitted free. Discounted “pre-sale” tickets are available online at http://stevelyonsfund.org, or in person at Positive Images, 61 Wingate St Haverhill. The group is also seeking event volunteers.

“Steven William Lyons, 23, was a free spirit with a gift for bringing people together. Though he left us in 2007, Steve continues to do just that,” a statement reads. The Steve Lyons Fund has been “supporting youth and the arts in greater Haverhill since 2007.”

  1. Most of this is accurate, but presale tickets are $15, while tickets at the gate run $20. A family of up to 6 will pay only $50, and kids 10 and under are free. The Wingate Street location is Positive Images gift shop.
