Brook Street Man Faces Burglary, Theft Charges

A Haverhill man faces arraignment in Haverhill District Court on theft and burglary charges following his arrest Tuesday afternoon by Haverhill police.

Emmanuel Nunez, 33, of 104 Brook St., Haverhill, was arrested at 2:34 p.m., Tuesday, at home. He was charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering in the daytime, larceny over $250, breaking and entering larceny from a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property.

In other police news:

A Haverhill woman is due to be arraigned in court on assault and drug possession charges connected with her arrest Tuesday night. Mariah Harriman, 19, of 80 Marshland St., Haverhill, was arrested at 9:46 p.m., Tuesday, at an undisclosed location. She was charged with three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a class E drug.

Two Haverhill men, arrested separately Tuesday evening on unrelated impaired driving charges, are due to appear in court.

Jose Mendez, 43, of 47 Myrtle St., Haverhill, was arrested at 10:58 p.m., Tuesday, at 1 Merrimack St. He was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, negligent operation and alcohol from an open container.

Hugo Palacin, 44, of 16 Highland Ave., Haverhill, was arrested at 6:27 p.m., Tuesday, at 10 Fifth Ave. He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs.
