Maudslay Arts Saturday Concert Features Liz Frame & the Kickers

Liz Frame & the Kickers are featured this weekend at the Maudslay Arts Center Summer Concert Series.

Boston-based singer-songwriter Liz Frame was weaned on the music of her parents’ generation, absorbing the influence of their heartland heroes—immortal and iconic artists such as Jimmie Rogers, The Weavers, B.B. King and Elvis Presley.

Backed by her band, The Kickers—Pat Chamberlin on lead guitars, Lynne Taylor on bass and Pete Walsh on drums—Frame writes and performs with seemingly nonstop energy and enthusiasm.

Liz Frame & The Kickers will be presented on Saturday, July 16, at 7 p.m., at Maudslay Arts Center, 95 Curzon Mill Road, Maudslay State Park, Newburyport. Concerts are held rain or shine, moving inside to the MAC Concert Barn when weather dictates. Handicap parking is available on site.

Other Saturday performances planned include Bobby Keyes Trio appears July 30; Don Campbell Band, Aug. 13; Rebecca Parris, Aug. 20; and Myanna, Aug. 27. Sunday afternoon performances begin at 2 p.m., and include: Gilson Schachnik Brazilian Trio featuring vocalist Mirella Costa, Aug. 14; Paul Broadnax & Friends, Aug. 21; and Donna Byrne on Aug. 28.
