Haverhill firefighters are hosting the Boston Strong Firefighter Combat Challenge New England, beginning Friday afternoon and continuing Saturday.
Opening ceremonies take place, beginning at 4 p.m., at Haverhill Police Station, 40 Bailey Boulevard. Saturday’s activities begin at 8:45 a.m., with opening ceremonies, followed by team relay and tandem races at 9.
Participants and families will gather Friday night at Barking Dog Ale House, 77 Washington St.
