Brian B. Simpson, 54, Owned Simco Building and Remodeling

brian_simpsonBrian B. Simpson, 54, of Newton, N.H., formerly of Haverhill, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Sunday, July 10th after a brief illness.

He was born in Haverhill Aug. 9, 1961, son of the late Dorothy L. (Danis) and Emerson C. Simpson.
He was educated in the Haverhill school system and graduated from Haverhill High School and  Haverhill Trade School. Simpson was the owner of Simco Building and Remodeling and helped construct many buildings in Haverhill and the neighboring cities. He was a talented musician and excelled in bass and vocals in his band. He enjoyed cooking, four wheeling and dirt bike riding and being outdoors. He was very proud to be a third degree black belt and loved spending time with his family.

Simpson is survived by his wife of 16 years, Jean (Varano) Simpson; three children, Brian Simpson of Derry, N.H., Courtney Duclos and her husband Scott M. of Limington, Maine, and Lucas Simpson of Newton, N.H.; four grandchildren, Patrick G. Simpson, Lillian D. Duclos, Piper J. Simpson and Scott J. Duclos; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Friday, July 15, from 4 to 7 p.m., at H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. His funeral service will be Saturday, July 16, 11 a.m., at First Baptist Church, 217 Main St. Haverhill, MA 01830. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery, Merrimac.
