Grand Avenue Man Faces Cocaine Trafficking Charge

A Haverhill man faces cocaine trafficking and other drug-related charges after his arrest Wednesday night by Haverhill police.

Bruno Balliro, 54, of 12 Grand Ave., was arrested at 9:36 p.m., Wednesday, at 16 William St. He was charged with trafficking in cocaine, drug possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and interference with a police officer.

He is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court

In other police news, a Haverhill man faces unlicensed driving and other charges in court after his arrest early Wednesday morning.

Michael Ellis, 21, of 35 Ayer St., Haverhill, was arrested at 2:35 a.m., Wednesday, at 97 Locust St. He was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest and a motor vehicle lights violation.
