Police Arrest Woman on Warrant Related to Drug Charges

A Haverhill woman was arrested by Haverhill police Thursday afternoon on a warrant related to drug dealing charges, among others.

Nora Baez, 26, of 24 Briarwood Road, Haverhill, was taken into custody at the Haverhill police station, 40 Bailey Boulevard, at 2:44 p.m., Thursday. The warrant is related to charges of drug possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws and unlicensed possession of ammunition.

Baez is scheduled to appear in Haverhill District Court.

In other police news:

A Haverhill woman is scheduled to be arraigned in district court on motor vehicle vandalism charges after her arrest early Thursday evening.

Nora Merced, 50, of 71 Haseltine St., Haverhill, was arrested at 5:27 p.m., Thursday, at 35 Vine St. She was charged with two counts of malicious damage to a motor vehicle.

A Haverhill man faces unlicensed driving, among other charges, in court after his arrest Thursday afternoon.

Oscar Nieves, 30, of 3 Davis St., Haverhill, was arrested at 2:11 p.m., Thursday, on Vine Street. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to stop or yield.
