UPDATED: Beverly Man, 49, Dies After Methuen Rotary Crash

A Beverly man died early Thursday afternoon when his lost control of his vehicle exiting Interstate 93 at the Methuen Rotary.

Timothy Reinwald, 49, died at 1:10 p.m., after leaving I-93 south and crashing at the route 110 rotary, Massachusetts State Police said. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was taken to Lawrence General Hospital by Methuen Emergency Medical Services (EMS). He was subsequently pronounced dead at the Hospital.

A preliminary investigation by Trooper Christoper Laverde and Trooper Malachy Higgins found the Reinwald was traveling “at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed,” a statement said.

The cause of this crash remains under investigation with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, State Police said. Besides State Police and Methuen EMS, assistance at the scene was provided by Methuen Police and Fire and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
