Norma Iris Baez, 45, Worked at Local Car Dealership

Norma_BaezNorma Iris Baez, 45, of Haverhill passed away Sunday, June 26, at her home surrounded by her family after a four-year battle with cancer.

Born in Comerio, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Israel and Maria (Rivera) Baez. Her family relocated to Haverhill in 1974 where she attended Haverhill public schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1988. She also attended Northern Essex Community College. Baez was employed as an administrative assistant for a local car dealership for many years. Her family was the most important part of her life. Throughout her life and during the most trying times during her illness she held a positive attitude and possessed a great sense of humor. She enjoyed writing and was an avid reader, listening to music and kept busy making amazing crafts.

She leaves her partner of 16 years, Nolin Hernandez, of Bradford; children, Yanelis Santana and her partner, Herman Ocasio, of  Lawrence, Eddie Santana, of Haverhill, and Leila Hernandez, of Bradford; paternal grandmother, Hipolita Baez, of Haverhill; four  grandchildren, Caiden and Chase Scott, Elijah Ocasio and Adriel Santana; eight siblings,  Domingo Perez and Miguel Perez, both of Florida, Luz Maisonet, Jose Perez, Samuel Perez, David Perez, Israel Baez Jr, and Jose Rivera, all of Haverhill; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to call Tuesday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 11, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery, Mill St. Haverhill.
