Police Call Daytime Convenience Story Robbery ‘Brazen’

Alleged robber, as seen on store surveillance video.

Haverhill police are searching for a suspect in connection with what they call a “brazen” mid-afternoon robbery Sunday at Cumberland Farms, 323 Main St., Monument Square.

A photograph taken from store surveillance video shows a young male with facial growth, medium build, and wearing a red ski cap, blue jersey and sunglasses. He allegedly asked to purchase cigarettes and then handed a note to a store clerk at about 2:11 p.m., Sunday, which read, “I have a gun, put all the money in a bag,” according to Haverhill Police Capt. Robert P. Pistone. No weapon was shown. The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot along Kenoza Avenue. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is asked to contact the Haverhill police, through their anonymous tip line, at (978) 373-1212.
