Kathleen Mackay, 65, Nurse at Area Nursing Homes

Kathleen Mackay, 65, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully with family by her side Saturday, June 11, at her home.

Mackay was born in Haverhill, April 5, 1951, daughter of the late Kenneth Lang and Shirley (Beede) Roger. She was educated in the Haverhill school system and graduated from Haverhill High School. She furthered her education at Northern Essex Community College and earned her registered nursing degree. For many years, Mackay was employed at the Oxford Manor Nursing Home and other local area nursing homes throughout Haverhill. After retiring from nursing, Kathleen was a receptionist at Amelia’s Hair Salon in Merrimac. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping, going to the beach and reading a book in the sun.

She is survived by her husband Richard Mackay of Haverhill; daughter, Alisa and her husband Rich Andrusiak of Washington, N.H.; step-father Paul Roger; two brothers, Kenneth Lang of Newton, N.H., and Scott Roger and his wife Lynn of Haverhill; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service Saturday, July 9, 1 p.m., at the Market St. Baptist Church, 37 Market St, Amesbury, MA 01913. Arrangements are by H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Haverhill and Bradford.
