June is National Rose Month and June 12 puts the spotlight on the Red rose symbol of love, passion and romance.

Celebrate now and for seasons to come by adding a few hardy red roses to your garden.

Home Run is an offspring of the popular Knock out rose. This long blooming red rose is fast growing and has even greater disease resistance than knockout.

Screaming Neon Red and Paint the Town Red are part of the Easy Elegance rose series. Neon Red has vibrant semi double flowers and Paint the Town Red has fragrant double flowers. Both are low maintenance plants that repeat bloom throughout the season and have good disease resistance.

Flower Carpet Scarlet is one of the next generation of carpet roses. The scarlet flowers cover 3 feet tall compact plants. Hardy in zones 4 to 11 it has good disease resistance and winter hardiness.

A bit more information: The Knock Out rose with its raspberry red flowers is a popular hardy landscape rose. It’s known for its low maintenance, continuous bloom and black spot disease resistance.
