A big march through Wilmington, Calif., is planned for Monday as port trucker strike lines expand to the XPO Cartage and Toyota yards in San Diego.

Port of Los Angeles picket lines expanded over the weekend and strike organizers say trucks filled with imported cargo were backed up from the Los Angeles and San Diego ports to the Mexican border.

The truckers strike over misclassification as contractors is impacting the supply chain that moves 40 percent of U.S. imports through California.

The strikers are demanding illegal labor practices stop at the ports. And they want the big retailers dependent on movement of goods through the ports to know that they can’t keep violating worker rights at the ports.
