Haverhill Republicans voted last night to endorse Donald Trump as their candidate for president.

During a regular meeting the Haverhill Republican City Committee Thursday night, members present unanimously selected Trump, according to William H. Ryan, chairman. He said a number of Democrats and independents joined the meeting and added to the endorsement.

Ryan called on all republicans in Haverhill to unite behind Trump.

Speakers at the meeting were Ann Wofford (R-Haverhill), who plans to challenge incumbent Congresswoman Niki Tsongas for a second time, and James P. Jajuga Jr. (R-Methuen), a candidate for sheriff of Essex county.

  1. I fully support Trump – and have since day one. I may not agree with him on everything – but do on most issues.

To coin an old phrase – “I love him for the enemies he makes”

  2. I’m shocked they chose Trump. Not really as they have no choice. Considering most were not Trump supporters, it must have been a humbling vote to make. All of the money grubbing hands are now scrambling to be relevant so they can keep the cash flow to their pockets alive. Funny how fast some people can change their minds when their “money interests” are at stake.
