The Communications Workers of America announced details Monday of the tentative labor agreement reached with Verizon on Friday, ending a six week strike by 39,000 workers from the CWA and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

The four-year contract includes 1,300 new U.S. call-center jobs, nearly 11 percent in raises over the term of the contract and a first contract for workers at Verizon wireless stores, plus profit sharing and signing bonuses. The company also withdrew proposed pension cuts.

Striking CWA workers return to work Wednesday.
