Open Mike Previews Environmental Forum, ‘Guys and Dolls’

During Monday night’s Open Mike Show, Joel Wool, environmental advocate for Clean Water Action, previewed the upcoming Haverhill Environmental Forum.

The forum takes place Thursday, May 26, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Haverhill Public Library, 99 Main St. A panel will answer the questions, “Do we need new fracked gas pipelines?” and “What is our alternative?”

In another segment, two Spotlight Playhouse representatives, Amy B. McCorkle, president, and Kevin Wilson, secretary, discuss the group’s latest production, “Guys and Dolls.” The show will be presented June 10, 11 and 18, at 7 p.m., and June 18 and 19, at 2 p.m., at Haverhill High School, 137 Monument St.
