Pain Specialist Stephanie Gianoukos will talk about “The Essentials of Pain Management” during a Senior Supper at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, Wednesday, June 15.
Dr. Gianoukos will identify types of pain and describe its effects on the body, how it is assessed and treated, and the goals of pain management in a pain center. Gianoukos, who is on staff at the Centers for Pain Management at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen and Haverhill, earned her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Tufts Medical Center, and then completed her residency in anesthesiology, and fellowship in pain medicine, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston.
The Senior Supper presentation takes place in the hospital’s ground-floor auditorium, 70 East St., Methuen, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The cost of $5 includes dinner and presentation. To register, call DoctorFinder line at (800) 488-5959.
