Two people, arrested Monday by Haverhill police detectives on drug-related charges, were due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court.
Jonathan Alicea, 31, of Cranston, R.I., and Christopher Amato, 40, of Meredith, N.H., were arrested at about 12:06 p.m., Monday, at 485 West Lowell Ave., Haverhill. Alicea was charged with distribution of a class A drug, drug possession with intent to distribute and failure to stop for police. Amato was charged with possession of a class A drug and also taken into custody on four unspecified outstanding warrants.
Each was additionally charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws and drug violation near a school zone.
