Exchange Club Honors Police, Fire and Education June 9

Former Mayor James A. Rurak has been tapped to address the audience when the Haverhill Exchange Club holds its “Recognition Night” next month. The event honors Haverhill police and firefighters, community servants and youth of the year.

Lt. Roger Moses has been selected as firefighter of the year and police officers Jason Pearl, Kyle McCann, Adam Durkee and Eric MacKinnon were chosen as officers of the year. The Exchange Club’s “So Proudly We Hail” award, given to an honoree who flies the U.S. flag, will be presented to Kathleen Parker of the Korean War Veterans Memorial Association.

Eric LaFleur, past president of the club, will receive the Book of Golden Deeds award. Ace and Youth of the Year scholarships will also be presented.

Recognition Night takes place Thursday, June 9, 5 to 7:30 p.m., at Bradford Country Club, 201 Chadwick Road, Bradford. Tickets are $30 per person or $250 for a table of 10 and may be purchased at haverhillexchangeclub.com.
