Police Allege Two Dealing Drugs at Haverhill Library

Two people, including a Plaistow, N.H., woman, arrested late Thursday morning on drug dealing charges at the Haverhill Public Library, 99 Main St., were due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court.

Haverhill police detectives arrested Rebecca Hunter, 21, of 175 Main St., Plaistow; and David McNee Jr., 25, of Wilmington, between 11:16 and 11:29 a.m., Thursday. Each was charged with distribution of a class B drug and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Hunter was additionally charged with drug possession with intent to distribute and resisting arrest. Further details were unavailable by deadline.

In other police news, a Haverhill man is due in court to face a drug possession charge after his arrest Thursday evening.

Troy Betts, 35, of 16 Auburn St., Haverhill, was arrested by Haverhill police at 5:17 p.m., Thursday, on Vine Street. He was charged with possession of a class B drug.
